1. Radcliffe Fellowship Program 2025-26 at Harvard Radcliffe Institute, UK [50 Fellowships, Stipend of Rs. 63L]: Apply by Oct 3

Based in Radcliffe Yard—a sanctuary in the heart of Harvard University—fellows join a uniquely interdisciplinary and creative community. A fellowship at Radcliffe is an opportunity to step away from usual routines and dive deeply into a project.

  • Eligibility: Applicants in science, engineering, and mathematics must:
    • Have received their doctorate in the area of the proposed project at least two years prior to their appointment as a fellow (December 2023 for the 2025-26 fellowship year).
    • Have published at least five articles in refereed journals. Most science, engineering, and math fellows have published dozens of articles.
  • Duration: The fellowship runs from September 2025–May 2026.

2. Teach for India Fellowship 2025 [Stipend of Rs. 25k + Rs. 6-12k Allowance]: Apply by Sept 1

The Teach For India Fellowship is an empowering movement to revolutionise education in India.

As a Fellow, you will gain invaluable teaching and leadership skills and join a vast network of like-minded educators and mentors. You will become a part of an Alumni network of influential change agents and advocates for educational equity.

  • Eligibility: You are eligible to apply for the 2025 Fellowship cohort if you:
    • Completed graduation by June/July 2025.
    • Are applying for the first time for 2025 Fellowship cohort, since July 2024.
    • Are a citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).

  • Stipend: As a Teach For India Fellow, you will be paid a stipend of INR 25,344 per month. If you are relocating from your home city, you will receive a City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) ranging from INR 6,000 to INR 12,600 depending on your placement city during the Fellowship.
  • Location: As a Teach For India Fellow, you will be placed in schools in underserved communities in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai or Pune. All Fellows will be required to reside in one of these cities during the period of the Fellowship.

4. Indian Council of Social Science Research ICSSR-JSPS (Japan) Joint Call for Research Proposals FY 2025: Apply by Sep 3

The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) carries out bilateral cooperative programs between India and Japan based on agreement concluded with them.

The aim of this program is to form sustained networks evolved from individual social scientist exchanges including young social scientists. ICSSR provides financial support to Indian Social Scientists implementing such bilateral joint research projects and seminars between research teams from India and Japan.

  • Eligibility: Participants from India: At the time of submitting their application, applicants must hold a full-time or equivalent position as a faculty in the field of social sciences at a public funded university or research institute in India. Participants from counterpart country: Researchers at a university or research institute under the jurisdiction of JSPS, Japan.
  • Applications should be submitted on the prescribed Application Form to ICSSR for Indian scholars wishing to apply for joint research and to JSPS for Japanese scholars wishing to apply for joint research.

5. Raman–Charpak Fellowship Programme 2024 [Amount Upto Rs. 1.37 L + Airfare]: Apply by Sep 30

The Raman–Charpak Fellowship programme is in honour of two Nobel Laureates in Physics, Prof C.V. Raman, Indian Nobel Laureate (1930) and Prof Georges Charpak, French Nobel Laureate (1992). The Fellowship was launched during the State visit of the President of France to India during in February, 2013. The aim is to facilitate the exchange of doctoral students between the two countries, to broaden the scope and depth of future engagements in Science, Technology and Innovation.

  • Eligibility: Indian & French PhD research scholars and Maters Students [only from France (included from year 2016)].
  • Duration: 2 to 6 months

6. India UK Joint Call for Proposal for Telecommunication Research FY 2025: Apply by Sep 23

This international joint funding opportunity will support projects to further develop and strengthen the network and research collaboration between UK-based and India-based researchers in the area of Future telecoms/ Networks.

  • Eligibility: Applications will have a project lead (previously known as principal investigator) based at a UK research organisation eligible for UKRI funding and a project lead based at an Indian research organisation eligible for DST funding.
  • Total Fund- £3,500,000 from EPSRC, with matched resources from DST India

The Chevening India Cyber Security Fellowship is aimed at mid-career professionals with demonstrable leadership potential in the field of cyber security or cyber policy in India. The fellowship is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office.

  • Eligibility: To be eligible for a Chevening Cyber Security Fellowship, you must:
    • Be a citizen of India and currently live in the country.
    • Return to your country of citizenship at the end of the period of the fellowship.
    • Not hold British or dual-British citizenship.
