Space Technology and Education Pvt. Ltd., also recognized as SPACE India, is a pioneer organization with a legacy of 24 years in developing and popularizing Astronomy, Space Science, and STEM education and experiences at the Grassroots level (K-12) and beyond. Competition Details
In 2024, World Space Week (WSW) will focus on “Space and Climate Change.” This theme celebrates the transformative impact of space technology in our ongoing battle against climate change, emphasizing the proactive role space exploration plays in enhancing our understanding and management of Earth’s climate.
This competition invites students to create a video podcast discussing or demonstrating the ways space technology is contributing to climate change solutions. Participants are encouraged to use scientific evidence and creative storytelling to highlight space innovations that promote environmental sustainability.
Guidelines
- Any scientific aids or models can be used to explain the contributions.
- The mode of explaining the theme can be a demonstration, presentation, interaction or interview.
Categories and Topic
- Below 10 years age group ( “How Can We Help Our Planet?” – Explore small steps to protect Earth from climate change)
- 10 to 15 years age group (Climate Change on Other Planets: What We Can Learn)
- 16 to 20 years age group (Space Missions Monitoring Earth’s Climate – How are space agencies like NASA and ISRO tracking and addressing climate change?)
- Above 20 years age group (From Satellites to Sustainability: The Role of Space Technology in Climate Monitoring” – The importance of space tech in tracking environmental changes.)
