The Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, IIT Kharagpur, the first of its kind in the IIT system was set up in 2006. It is a part of the global endeavor to integrate technology and law to build lawyers with expertise to deal with legal issues in the interface of technology and law.

Eligibility Criteria
- For LL.B. (Hons. in Intellectual Property Law): First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine or First-Class Master’s Degree in Science or Pharmacy or First-Class MBA Degree with any of the above.
- For LLM: First class (or equivalent) in Bachelor of Laws LL.B. / B.L. (5 years or 3 years) program from any recognized University.
