National Institute of Technology Patna is the 18th National Institute of Technology created by the Ministry of H.R.D. Government of India after rechristening the erstwhile Bihar College of Engineering Patna on 28. 01. 2004. The institute has highly qualified faculty of higher calibre in various disciplines. The institute offers B.Tech, M.Tech & Ph.D. programmes in respective fields of Engineering, Sciences and Technology with well-equipped laboratories. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers B.Tech (CSE), B.Tech (IT), M.Tech (CSE), M.Tech (IT) and PhD programs in various computer science-related subjects.
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) approved a project entitled ‘Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project Phase II’ in 2014 with the objectives of capacity building in Information Security to address human resource requirements in the country, training of Government officials and spreading mass awareness through direct/ indirect mode.
The project aimed at training more than 1.14 lakh persons in various formal/non-formal courses and more than 13,000 Government officials in the area of Information Security, besides spreading mass awareness on Information Security. The project implementation started w.e.f. 1.4.2015, for 5 years, extended up to 30.6.2022.
The “FDP on Future of AI and ML in Cyber Security” aims to illuminate the remarkable benefits that Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) bring to the domain of Cyber Security.
