Online applications are invited for the Short-term Training Program on MATLAB Applications at SVNIT Surat. The last date for the application is January 12, 2024.
The Institute, one of the pioneering engineering institutions of the country, was established in 1961 as Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering & Technology and was given the status of National Institute of Technology, in 2002.
Department of Chemical Engineering was started in 1995 and has built up a comprehensive research infrastructure with top-notch facilities for carrying out cutting-edge research and teaching. The department strives to provide facilities and an environment that is conducive to creative and dynamic work.
The STTP aims to equip academicians, research scholars, and people from industry as well as R&D organizations with the ability to program and solve engineering and research problems using MATLAB – the versatile software.
The programme is open to faculty members, research scholars, and students from allied disciplines. Industry personnel working in the same discipline can also attend the STTP.
MATLAB turns out to be one of the powerful software tools that enhances students’ learning by doing and enables research scholars to implement their ideas to furnish Proof-ofConcept (PoC). The tool is versatile and is widely used for technical computation, numeric evaluation, scientific analysis, graphical visualization, modelling, controlling, etc. in diversified disciplines. Thus, the proposed short-term course would be highly beneficial and productive since participants will have the opportunity to practice in real time rather than being mere spectators.
