Applications are invited for the role of Ahimsa Fellowship Programme 5th Cohort. Apply by June 29!
Through PFA Uttarakhand’s continued efforts of working closely with the Central Government and various State Governments as well as organizational strategy of seeking judicial intervention, it has achieved certain significant milestones in the field of animal welfare.
Capacity building of law enforcement and judicial agencies (such as Police and Magistrate Sensitization Workshops) constitute a core aspect of our work towards sensitizing administrative personnel about the cause of animal welfare and further strengthening the animal protection framework in India. This has paved the way for a regime of positive laws and policies in favour of protecting animals.
The Ahimsa Fellowship is a force-multiplier in the animal protection movement. Together, we can make far-reaching and systemic impacts for animals!
The animal protection movement in India requires trained professionals who can become animal protection leaders across states and districts. Embrace a unique opportunity to champion for meaningful change for animals!
The Ahimsa Fellowship programme aims at creating a network of effective animal protection leaders adept at working closely with state governments and district administrations to enforce animal protection laws in India.
There is an urgent need of trained professionals who can capably assist the Government in fulfilling its statutory duties through systemic apparatuses like State Animal Welfare Boards, Societies For The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Infirmaries, Slaughterhouse Monitoring Committees, Animal Birth Control Monitoring Committees etc.
Ahimsa Fellows will be intensively trained to understand in-depth the existing legal and policy regime. They will also be encouraged and supported to take up advocacy efforts that complement their skill set and interests across the broad field of Animal Protection.
We invite applications from passionate individuals who are motivated about contributing to the animal welfare/animal rights movement in India.
