Microsoft India (R&D) Private Limited, a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation, set up the Microsoft India Development Center (MSIDC) in Hyderabad in 1998. Over the past years, they have expanded to become one of Microsoft Corporation’s largest R&D centres outside its headquarters in Redmond.
M365 Research invites applications for its Research Fellows Program. The program exposes bright minds in India to world-class research and state-of-the-art technology and prepares students for careers in research and engineering. The M365 Research group has some of the best researchers working on pushing the frontiers of computer science and technology.
RFs spend 1 to 2 years with the M365 India team. Different projects may require a different combination of skills. Current and past RFs have worked on solving deep theoretical problems, pushing the boundaries of AI and its applications in software engineering, increasing the efficiency of large language models, and researching reliability and efficiency in large-scale software systems and networks. They all consistently aim to create academic, industry, and societal impact.
Candidates should have completed their Bachelor’s (BE/BTech/BS) or Master’s degree (ME/MTech/MS) in Computer Science (or related areas). We evaluate candidates on a combination of factors, including academic performance, raw smarts, development skills, and passion for research and software development.
