The Center for Entrepreneurship Development and Incubation (CEDI) is an independent organization established by the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Trichy, in 2012. Registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, CEDI has built a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem at NIT Trichy. It focuses on supporting young entrepreneurs to launch technology start-ups, particularly in the fields of ICT and Electronics, by commercializing their innovative technologies.
One of CEDI’s key initiatives is the Technological Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE) project, which is funded by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India. Through this program, CEDI fosters the growth of start-ups in ICT and Electronics by providing incubation, acceleration, mentoring, and funding opportunities. Incubated companies benefit from access to NIT Trichy’s infrastructure, departmental labs, and other resources for product development. Additionally, these companies gain the advantage of collaborating with NIT’s talented student body through internships.
Only 20-25 eligible startup teams will be selected per Bootcamp Venue: at NIT Trichy & 1E1, Madurai Local Centre.
