Participate in the Drug-Free India Awareness Quiz by NCB and MyGov. The deadline for participation is January 23, 2025!
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is India’s central drug law enforcement agency, operating under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. NCB is responsible for tackling drug trafficking and abuse as per the provisions of the NDPS Act of 1985. Recently, due to various domestic and international factors, NCB’s role in drug law enforcement has become more significant.
Through this quiz, the Narcotics Control Bureau, in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs, aims to enhance public awareness about issues such as drug trafficking, illegal cultivation, storage, and misuse. By involving key groups, including youth, adolescents, women, educational institutions, and the broader community, NCB seeks to educate and empower individuals to fight against drug-related problems.
Since the introduction of the MANAS National Narcotics Helpline 1933, engaging discussions about preventing drug abuse and trafficking have flourished in public forums such as schools, community spaces, and online platforms like social media. These conversations have motivated people to stay away from drugs and encouraged those impacted to seek counseling and rehabilitation services, leading to greater awareness of drug-related crimes.
NCB and MyGov invite citizens to participate in the quiz competition on Drug Awareness.
