Applications are invited for Internship Opportunity at NIT Jalandhar Under SERB Funded Project for the year 2023. The last date of application is May 5.

Applications are invited for two-month internship in the department of Civil Engineering, Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jalandhar.

The internship will be in the field of Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics under the head “Scientific Social Responsibilities” of DST-SERB funded research project entitled “Investigations of Flow and Bed-morphology in Steep Mountain Streams” under Core Research Grant (CRG) scheme.

Students who are in the third year of BTech and having good CGPA.

Monthly Assistantship: Rs. 5000 per month

Duration of internship: 22nd May to 21st July 2023

Last date for accepting application: 05th May 2023.

Duly completed application form along with copy previous semester marksheets should be mailed to patelm[at]nitj.ac.in on or before 05th May 2023. No application will be entertained after last date.

Student will be given a topic of research from the field of steep channel hydraulics. Topic of research will be theoretical/computational in nature. As the project is in the field of fluid mechanics, students who have good knowledge of fluid mechanics and hydrology and have and have computational/programming experience will be preferred.

Decision of selection committee will be final in this regard. Assistantship is subject to condition that the student have to submit two-month detailed work report at the end of internship.
