JEE is designed for admission to top institutes in India like IITs, NITs, CFTIs & other reputed institutes. It’s been conducted in two phases i.e; JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Get details of JEE Main Exam 2023 in this article.

JEE, or the Joint Entrance Examination, is a series of competitive exams conducted in India for admission into UG programs offered by top engineering colleges in India, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Deemed Universities and other centrally-funded technical institutions (CFTIs) etc.

The JEE exams have two primary segments JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

JEE Main, or the Joint Entrance Examination Main, is India’s national-level engineering entrance examination. It is organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into various undergraduate engineering programs offered by top engineering colleges in India.

The JEE Main exam is conducted twice yearly, in January and April. The exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 for B.E./B. Tech courses and Paper 2 for B.Arch/B.Planning courses.

The JEE (Main) – 2023 will be conducted in 02 (two) sessions for admissions in the next academic session. The candidates will thus benefit in the following ways:

However, if a candidate appears in more than one Session then his/her best of the JEE (Main) – 2023 NTA Scores will be considered for preparation of the Merit List/ Ranking.

Method of determining
merit
Conversion of the raw score in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and the
conversion of the total into NTA scores. Overall merit shall be prepared by merging the NTA scores of all shifts of all days.
Method of resolving tiesTie between candidates obtaining equal Total NTA scores in Paper 1:
B.E./B. Tech will be resolved in the following manner in descending
order:
1. NTA score in Mathematics, followed by
2. NTA score in Physics, followed by
3. NTA score in Chemistry, followed by
4. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the Test, followed by
5. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Mathematics in the Test followed by
6. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics in the Test, followed by
7. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry in the Test followed by
8. Older in Age followed by
9. Application Number in ascending order
