The Centre for infrastructure, Sustainable Transportation and Urban Planning (CiSTUP) of Indian Institute of Science (IISc) was established in the year 2009 during the centenary celebrations of IISc, with base funding from the Karnataka State Government and inputs from visionary leaders at IISc and the Government. It is a multidisciplinary center for transportation and urban planning research.
Full-time, contract position for a period of 1 year with a 3-month probation period. The contract will be renewed based on performance.
Understand graph algorithms used for modeling multi-modal transportation systems. Code, test, and profile these algorithms. Write reports and documents detailing the work undertaken and help production teams integrate them into the software.
Strong programming skills in C++. Experience with version control tools such as Git and GitHub. Demonstrated capacity to work independently and as a part of a team. Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills.
Preferably from computer science, electrical engineering, optimization, mathematics, mobility/ transportation systems engineering background.
