Admission Opens: MTech Programme 2023 at IIT Bhilai: Apply by April 16

Applications are invited for Admission to MTech Programme 2023 at IIT Bhilai. The last date to fill out the application form is April 16, 2023.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai was established in the state of Chhattisgarh by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development in the year 2016. IIT Bhilai is presently housed in its transit campus at Government Engineering College (GEC) Raipur, Chhattisgarh. IIT Bhilai offers Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Master of Technology (MTech), Master of Science (MSc), and Doctoral programs (Ph.D.) in various departments. The Institute made its modest start with the introduction of the BTech program in August 2016.

Applicants meeting the eligibility criteria as defined hereunder are invited to apply for admission to the MTech program at IIT Bhilai as regular students. Students admitted to the regular MTech program of the Institute may become eligible to receive Institute Fellowship as per the norms defined by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.

MTech program in	Criteria
Bioengineering	GATE Score in BM/BT/CH/CS/CY/EC/EE/MA/ST/XE/XL/ME/PH/IN or GPAT.
Computer Science and Engineering	GATE score in CS/ EC/ EE/ MA/ PH.
Data Science and Artificial Intelligence	GATE score in any engineering discipline/MA/ST.
Electrical Engineering: 1. Power Systems and Power Electronics 2. Control and Instrumentation	GATE score in EE/ EC/ IN/ CS/ PH.
Electric Vehicle Technology	GATE score in ME/ EE/ EC/ IN/ AE/ CY/CH/XE/XE-F/XE-C/PI.
Electronics & Communication Engineering	GATE Score in EC/EE/IN/PH/CS.
Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering	GATE Score in any engineering discipline/CY/PH/GG/XE.
Mechanical Engineering: 1. Design and Manufacturing 2. Thermal and Fluids Engineering	GATE score in AE/ CE/ ME/ PI/ PH/ XE.
Mechatronics Engineering	GATE Score in ME/EE/EC/PI/IN/AE/CS.

STEP-I: Apply Online

Candidates must apply online from the IIT Bhilai website. A fresh registration is required for each program, for which, an applicant would like to apply. Applicant must fill in all required information and upload documents, if any, sought in the application.

STEP-II: Application Finalization

Finalization of the application is mandatory. If not finalized, the application will not be considered. Editing/modification/addition is not possible after the finalization of the application form. Hence, a candidate should verify the details before finalizing the application form. Once is application is finalized, the application number will be generated. Candidates should note the application number for future reference.

STEP-III: Application Fee

Application fee of 100 INR is applicable for SC/ST/PwD/female candidates and 200 INR is applicable for other candidates. Payment of the application fee must be made through State Bank Collect only. Candidate shall visit SBI Collect, for fee payment (the SBI collect link is provided in the portal).

STEP-IV: Add Payment details

This step should be done after the generation of the SBI Collect DU reference number. The applicant has to add the DU reference number to his/ her application.

Note: Candidates who are applying for more than one MTech program need to apply and pay the application fee for each program separately.
