Applications are invited for Postdoctoral Fellow (Chemical Engineering) at IIT Gandhinagar. The last date of application is 15 September.
Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in the Advanced material to develop wearable sensors for a research project funded by the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar.
The above research topic is interdisciplinary, covering the broad spectrum of material science, manufacturing technology and electronics. This works demands selected candidate to work on the synthesis of advanced/nanomaterials, analysis of materials, patterning of sensing elements and designing of sensors.
Also, he will be working on the microcontroller to read, store and analysis of data generated by the sensors. The candidate will frequently use various analytical instruments such as AFM, SEM, TEM, XRD, Raman spectroscopy, FTIR, DMA etc., to validate and characterize the materials.
Finally, he will demonstrate the performance of sensors as wearable electronics and other extended applications. In addition to performing research responsibilities, the candidate will work on the development of laboratory setups.
PhD degree in advanced/nanomaterials, Sensing technology, Nanotechnology and allied branch from a reputed institute with an excellent scientific publication record. The candidates who have defended their thesis and can join immediately are also eligible for the position. Candidates having working experience with microcontrollers are encouraged to apply.
Initial appointment is for 1 year, extendable up to 1 more year based on performance.
