Applications are invited for the Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2024 for students from Class 11 to Post Graduation. The applications can be submitted throughout the year.
The Sitaram Jindal Foundation is a charitable organization in Bangalore and was started with the sole objective to help with the moral and social upliftment of the weaker sections of the society. The Foundation was envisioned by Padma Bhushan Dr. Sitaram Jindal and was instituted in 1969. This charitable trust in Bangalore has worked at setting up a number of educational institutions, NGOs, hospitals, (most notable is the world famous Jindal Naturecure Institute (JNI), Bangalore) and has contributed towards infrastructure development in rural areas as well.
Being one of the most trusted charitable organizations/trusts in India, the Foundation has an independent functioning and doesn’t entertain any affiliations whether commercial, political or religious. With 46 years of service and having supported more than 500 charitable institutions in India, the Foundation also runs vocational courses for women and has been a champion for women empowerment.
This Scholarship Scheme was introduced by the Sitaram Jindal Foundation (NGO). It offers financial support to students ranging from Class 11 to postgraduate levels, with the primary goal of assisting underprivileged individuals pursue diverse degree and diploma courses. Eligible candidates include those enrolled in Class 11, 12, ITI, diploma, undergraduate, or postgraduate degree programs, provided they meet the specified minimum percentage criteria in their previous qualifying examinations. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on deserving students and enables them to pursue their educational aspirations with greater ease and focus.
The Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2024 is open to students across various educational levels and disciplines. The eligibility criteria are as follows:
Category A:
Students who have passed 11th or 12th from Govt colleges or govt aided colleges are eligible for this scholarship. All Boys should have passed with a minimum of 65 % and all Girls should behave got 60 % marks in the respective class. Students who Belong to Karnataka & West Bengal should have 75 % Marks ( Boys) & 70 % marks (Girls).
Category B:
Students who are pursuing ITI are also eligible to apply for this scholarship. They should have passed the last exam with a minimum of 50 % Marks. Girls who have passed with 45 % can also participate.
Category C:
Students who have passed 12 & wanted to join the graduation courses Like BA, Bcom, BBA, BCA, BHM, can apply for the Sitaram Jindal Scholarship. Boys with a minimum of 65 % and girls with 60% passing marks can participate in this scholarship. The students who belong to Karnataka & West Bengal should have a minimum of 70 % Marks (Boys) and 65% marks (Girls)
Category D:
Sitaram Jindal Scholarship gives the opportunity to students, doing their post-graduation courses like MA, MCA, MPhil, M.com, MBA, M Sc, and other similar courses can also apply. Students must have obtained 65% (Boys) and 60% (Girls) in their graduation. students who live in Karnataka & West Bengal must have obtained 75 % marks (Boys) & 70 % marks (Girls).
Category E:
Students pursuing their diploma courses in Engineering, Medical & other courses can apply in the Sitaram Jindal Scholarship. They should have obtained 60% marks (Boys ) & 55% marks in their last passed exam.
Category F:
Students interested in pursuing Engineering & Medical courses come under this category. Boys must have obtained 70 % marks & Girls should have obtained 65 % marks in their last passed exam. Boys & Girls living in West Bengal & Karnataka should have 75% marks & 70% marks respectively in the last exam passed.
The scholarship amount varies depending on the level of education and the course of study. Here is a brief overview of the scholarship amounts:

| B | Students who get selected in Category B will get Rs 500 per month Scholarship for Govt college & Rs 700 per month for Private ITI. |
| C | Students who get selected in this category will get Rs 600 to Rs 1000 per month as a scholarship for one year |
| D | Students will get Rs 800 to Rs 1200 per month under this category. |
| E | Boys will get Rs 800 per month & Girls will get Rs 1000 per month for one year |
| F | Under this category students gets Rs 1300 to Rs 2000 per month |
