A strong support is needed for the innovations to become great. This portal provides that by providing right audience to the startups and investors. This will be the best way to get noticed by various segments of the investing options like VCs, PEs, etc. This is only a matchmaking platform and its intent to bring startups and investors on a common meeting place. Registering on this website shall not guarantee or ensure funding. The individual deals shall be evaluated and negotiated outside this platform. SIDBI shall not be responsible for any terms and agreement between the parties and shall not create or maintain any details/reasons, except the outcome, which will be entered and/or used by either the investors or Startups for reference/MIS purposes only.

There are 2 ways for a startup to connect with an investor: 1. Respond to a investment opportunity: Investors would launch opportunities to invest in startups that meet the requirements described in the investment opportunity. You can respond to these opportunities and get a chance to get funded 2. Direct connection with investors: Startup can specify relevant criteria such as industry focus, technology focus etc., and search for investors registered in this portal. The portal will allow you to send direct message to the investor expressing your interest and proposal. Investors will be able to see your profile maintained in this portal.

How will this portal add value to the startups?

This platform enables the perfect match for the startups and investors to create a healthy ecosystem where investors add value to the startups in various ways like facilitating smooth operations in different departments of the startups and upscaling the efficiency. The portal will be the hub of all interactions across various modules facilitated between several stakeholders.

What are the basic requirements for the startups to get recognized?

The startups should be recognized by the DPIIT. Following criteria will be considered for the same: 1. Startup Age: Period of existence and operations should not be exceeding 10 years from the Date of Incorporation. 2. Startup Type: Incorporated as a Private Limited Company, a Registered Partnership Firm or a Limited Liability Partnership. 3. Annual Turnover: Should have an annual turnover not exceeding Rs. 100 crores for any of the financial years since its Incorporation. 4. Originality: Startup should not have been formed by splitting up or reconstructing an already existing business. 5. Innovative and Scalable: Should work towards development or improvement of a product, process or service and/or have scalable business model with high potential for creation of wealth & employment.

The portal would act as a key Startup Repository and will have the capability of building a database of DPIIT recognized startups. The startups registered on the portal would be able to- 1.Create and share detailed business venture profile and pitch deck with other registered accounts. 2. Assign roles (owner, editor, manager) to define account accessibility 3. Create, share and conduct virtual meetings, events and exhibitions 4. Filter and save relevant news, alerts and information 5. Filter and save relevant profiles of potential investors 6. A chat solution to initiate chat messages with other registered accounts 7. Access a cloud storage to store and share promotion content and business documents 8. Initiate deal flow transaction with an investor profile, which includes pitch meeting, discussion, document sharing and validation, agreement signing and deal closure 9. What is the surety for getting the funds from the investors for startups registered on this portal?

The process will be transparent. It will be moderated where the selected startups will get the funds post approval from the investors. There are 100+ parameters that assures the correct portrayal of the startups to the investors. Based on the same, decision shall be made by the investors. SIDBI will have no role in the decision-making process.
