Job Overview

The IT Asset Management oversees the lifecycle management of all information technology assets, including acquisition, inventory tracking, auditing, and compliance. It establishes and enforces asset management procedures and standards across business units. The position will enable IT governance and collaboration with IT stakeholders to improve asset management and create a flexible IT asset management framework (ITAM).

Role

  • Development, planning and oversight of the IT asset and lease management programs.
  • Responsible for maintaining core ITAM/ITSM financial records and preparing financial reports for review with IT leadership and Finance committees that monitor the cost centre records for the integrity of Analog Device financial information.
  • Task including not limited to amortizations, accruals, forecast, balance sheet, chargebacks, expenditures, allocations, and Invoicing (Reconciliation, Contract Renewals and term reviews)
  • Design and implement processes and procedures for tracking and analysing technical and financial data of company hardware and software, from requisition through retirement.
  • Perform maintenance and/or development of tracking systems for hardware and software acquisition and related services.
  • Coordinate hardware disposal efforts: partners with IT Support, Finance, and Procurement to ensure asset and lease management controls support asset management.
  • Manage asset data such as hardware serial numbers for the configuration management database (CMDB/ITAM) and ensure up-to-date, accurate, and auditable information.
  • Generate asset and lease tracking reports as needed by IT leadership for planning and budgeting purposes.
  • Manage and track software licenses assigned to end users, reviewing and managing IT resource volume and expenditures against purchase agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in engagement with sourcing, procurement, and vendor management teams.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and operational IT staff.
  • Support IT asset management professionals in delivering ITAM capabilities and enhancing business outcomes.
  • Assistance in the interpretation of contracts related to digital technology, including license and maintenance agreements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or any Master’s in related fields.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI tools and Excel for data comparison and consolidation.
  • Basic understanding of software license assignment, compliance, auditing, and asset management.
  • Familiarity with asset management software and inventory-tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of IT contract management, purchasing, and procurement processes.
  • Understanding of accounting, finance, asset management, and lease management principles.
  • Awareness of technology asset life cycles and governance best practices.
  • Interest in IT policy, process, and procedure development and implementation.

An added benefit if you possess the following expertise

  • Knowledge of IT policy, process, and procedure development and implementation.
  • Good understanding of ITIL, ServiceNow, Active Directory or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of publisher software licensing agreements and publisher audit requests to maintain compliance.
  • Ability to automate manual asset management and procurement procedures.
