The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India is a Statutory public body constituted on 12 October 1993 under the Protection of Human Rights Ordinance of September 28, 1993. It was given a statutory basis by the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 (PHRA).
Besides the regular summer and winter internship programme which are held in May-June and December-January every year, NHRC also offers opportunities throughout the year except during months of May-June and December-January, to students from various streams especially from law stream, to have attachment with the Commission in batches on short-term basis for a period of 15 days.
NHRC has opened its short term internship program for 2025 and is inviting applications for 2 weeks of online internship program. This is a full time Internship Programme from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm (Monday to Friday). Students must ensure about their availability before applying.
Applications are invited from eligible students of the entire country. Eligibility and selection criteria will be as follows:-
Note: Students must have consistently attained a minimum of 60% marks in Class XII and all subsequent courses including the presently pursued courses. The calculated percentage has to be mentioned clearly from their CGPA/SGPA along with the formula for the percentage obtained. Failure to do either of it so would result in the rejection of the application form.
The Internship will continue for 2 weeks from May 13 to May 23
