Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has announced its Summer Internship Program 2025 for both internal and external students. The program offers students an opportunity to gain hands-on research and academic exposure under the mentorship of experienced faculty members at NIT Jalandhar.

Below are the detailed modalities, eligibility criteria, application procedure, and important guidelines for interested candidates.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar is located on G.T. Road, Bye Pass, Jalandhar – 144027 (Punjab), India. The institute is well known for its academic excellence, research culture, and industry-oriented training facilitated through the Training & Placement Centre (CTP).

Applicants applying for the Summer Internship Program 2025 must fulfill the following conditions:

The internship must be completed within this stipulated period.

The institutional fee for the Summer Internship Program is Rs. 5,000/- for a maximum duration of two months.

Refer to the list of interested faculty members offering mentorship for Summer Interns 2025 along with their respective research areas (available on the institute website).

Fill the Application Proforma for Summer Internship (available on the NIT Jalandhar website).

The form must be duly signed by the competent authority of the parent institute.

Applicants must clearly mention:

Make the required payment of the institutional fee and attach the transaction slip.

Attach qualifying documents, including:

Combine all documents (Application Form, transaction slip, and academic documents) into one single PDF file.

The Centre for Training and Placement (CTP) will forward the application to the concerned faculty member, keeping the Head of Department, AR Accounts, Dean Academic, and Internship Cell in CC.

Upon joining, the intern must report to the concerned department. The assigned faculty member will inform the CTP through the Head of Department.

After successful completion of the internship, the faculty mentor will issue the internship certificate through the Head of Department.

A copy of the certificate (both hard and soft copy) must be submitted to the CTP.

Applicants must fill in the following details in capital letters:

A declaration confirming the authenticity of the information and adherence to institute rules is mandatory. The form must be forwarded by the Head of the Parent Institute.
