Job Description: Product Design Intern
The Intern – Design Engineer in the FLASH Group at Micron Technology, Inc., will be core technical individual contributor in design and validation of the on-chip controller and mixed signal circuitry in NAND FLASH chips. In this highly visible and challenging role, your responsibilities will include architecture development and product definition, detailed transistor level design, test plan, system integration and verification. Some RTL design and implementation of the controller hardware, design and development of firmware code for NAND internal operations and full-chip Verilog Validation
Responsibilities
- Define NAND product test modes and their applications.
- Conduct pre-silicon conceptual design and preparation.
- Perform Verilog (Digital) and Analog design simulations, analyze results, and debug pre-silicon full-chip designs.
- Create and maintain design and validation documentation.
- Conduct wafer-level micro-probing to identify circuit- and design-level anomalies.
- Execute post-silicon activities, including hands-on measurements on wafer probe stations and testers for test chip validation.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering to develop new test modes for improved testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Gain exposure to bench testing equipment and advanced tester-coding environments.
- Utilize engineering benches and testers for device characterization and electrical failure analysis.
- Design, implement, and drive layout edits for development, yield improvement, quality, and process enablement.
- Run Design for Manufacturability (DFM) flows and work with Design & Technology Development teams to craft and implement solutions.
- Build, validate, and manage new design libraries and final archives, ensuring completion of final EDA checks (LVS, DRC, LVL).
- Generate final data, manage post-processing tapeout flows, and validate final mask data.
- Lead tapeout order paperwork and coordinate with partner teams to align needs, priorities, and resources to meet schedules.
Preferred Skills
- Solid knowledge in Verilog language.
- MTech/Dual Degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred. BTech candidates can also be considered as per situation.
- Course work in VLSI technology, analog/digital circuits, semiconductor process and semiconductor device physics
