ERNET India, an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, is under the overall control and guidance of its Governing Council. The Hon’ble Minister for Electronics & Information Technology is the Chairperson of the Council, and the members have been chosen from premier academic & research institutions, government organizations and professional bodies. ERNET India is serving academic and research institutions by innovatively connecting them on Intranet and Internet using appropriate state-of-the-art technologies. Institutions anywhere in the country can now be connected to the ERNET network.
The Work-Based Learning (WBL) programme is a unique initiative to provide employability skills to individuals from SC, ST, Women, and EWS in Niche/Emerging Technologies.
This program will provide an opportunity to selected SC/ST/EWS/Women candidates to acquire Technical Knowledge Expansion, Real-time Working Skills, Technology use problem-solving Skills, Reasoning, Ideation, Analytical Thinking, Interpersonal Skills, etc., in a professional work environment. This programme would aim to achieve the following:
