Applications are invited for a temporary position of Project Staff at the Center for Creative Learning, IIT Gandhinagar.
IIT Gandhinagar was founded in 2008 and is located in Palaj, Gandhinagar, Gujarat on the banks of river Sabarmati. IITGN is rated India’s first 5-star GRIHA LD (Green) campus for minimizing the negative impact on the environment. The campus has been declared India’s first 5-star campus for ensuring food safety and promoting healthy eating.
Essential Qualifications: The candidates should have done I.T.I. courses or should have a Bachelor’s degree in/engineering/science/mathematics. Candidates should have the experience of making large structures using meta/wood models. Also, they should have some experience in working at an organization focussing on hands-on learning in school education. The candidates who don’t meet the above qualifications need not apply. Candidates selected for the post would be responsible for managing and mentoring graduates from ITI colleges.
Desirables Candidates who are comfortable working with CAD tools (such as CoralDraw, AutoCAD), laser cutter and 3D printer would be preferred. Also, familiarity with carpentry tools, blacksmith tools and lathe machines are preferable. An experience of conducting workshops with teachers and students based on these hands-on activities is also a desirable qualification for the job.
