V.O.Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA), invites applications for recruitment of two posts by direct recruitment. Prospective candidates will have to apply online after carefully reading the detailed advertisement regarding the process of examination, eligibility criteria, online registration processes, payment of prescribed application fee/ intimation charges, pattern of examination, issuance of admit cards/call letters etc. and ensure that they fulfil the stipulated criteria and follow the prescribed processes.

Hindi Officer Cum Senior Assistant Secretary	01	Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level OR Master’s Degree from a recognized university in English with Hindi as a subject at the degree level. OR Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi/English with Hindi and English as subjects at the degree level. Desirable: Adequate knowledge of Tamil
Fire cum Assistant Safety Officer	01	(i) Graduate ship examination of Institute of Fire Engineers (London) or should have passed B.Sc., with Chemistry as one of the main subjects or B.E., (Fire), recognised by AICTE(All India Committee for Technical Education), Nagpur University. (ii) Should have undergone Divisional Fire Officers’ Course at National Fire Service College, Nagpur; or Advance Diploma Course at National Fire Service College, Nagpur. (iii) Possession of Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence; (iv) Should have served not less than 5 years in a Fire Service Organisation in an Industrial town in a rank not below Station Officer. (v) Medical Standard: Height: 168 Cms. Weight: 50 Kgs. Chest Measurement: Normal – 81 Cms. Exp. 86 Cms. Vision: Normal in both eyes, colour vision is essential and wearing of glasses is not permissible except to employees over the age of 40 years. (vi) Knowledge of swimming.

Rank	Pay as per Matrix	Total
Class I:-	Basic pay of Rs.50,000 /- in the scale of Rs.50000-160000 (under revision) and other admissible allowances as applicable.	Rs.87, 000/- per month plus HRA as admissible (if not residing in VOC Port quarters).
Class II:-	Basic pay of Rs.40,000 /- in the scale of Rs.40000-140000 and other admissible allowances as applicable.	Rs.70000/- per month plus HRA as admissible (if not residing in VOC Port quarters).
