In honor of the exceptional contributions international scholars make to Duke University, the Karsh International Scholarship was founded in 2010 thanks to a generous donation from Martha L. and Bruce A. Karsh. It is intended for international students who demonstrate financial need and who promote interdisciplinary inquiry, academic research, and scholarship in the service of society in Bachelors degree in any subject.
International applicants must have demonstrated financial need to be eligible for this scholarship. Our current cohort of scholars includes students from Brazil, Chile, England, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Iran, Italy, Kenya, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Rwanda, South Korea, Tunisia, Vietnam, Wales, and Zimbabwe.
Students must be international students who are not US citizens or dual citizens of US/another country. They must not have already obtained a B.A. or B.S. degree prior to their studies at Duke University. They must have strong academic preparation and documented need for financial aid.

Early applications deadline is 1 November while Regular Decisions application is 2 January.
