Applications are invited for the Summer School on Approximation Algorithms 2025 at IISc Bangalore. The application deadline is March 25, 2025!
The Department of Computer Science and Automation (CSA) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) originated from the School of Automation, established in 1969. Initially focused on automatic control, it expanded in the 1980s to include computation and communication, shaping its current identity.
CSA conducts cutting-edge research in three core areas:
The department actively contributes to premier research publications, develops open-source software, and engages in scientific initiatives, including industry collaborations, government programs, and international conferences.
The Summer School on Theoretical Computer Science offers a valuable learning opportunity for senior undergraduate and graduate students looking to enhance their knowledge in the field. This year’s program features a series of in-depth lectures on advanced topics in approximation algorithms, complemented by a diverse selection of talks covering emerging trends and foundational concepts in theoretical computer science. Designed to provide an immersive educational experience, the program fosters intellectual growth, encourages knowledge exchange, and connects participants with leading experts and like-minded peers.
Interested applicants must complete the application form before the deadline.
