Registrations are open for Workshop and Orientation Program for New Khojis at Swaraj University on 6-12 August 2023.
Come learn about the Basics of Self-Designed Learning and How to Design Your Own One Year Learning Program. We invite you to a 6-day adventure for learners of ages 17 – 23 to learn about the spirit of being a khoji and our new 1-year learning program at Swaraj University in Udaipur.
Self-designed learning basically means that each learner actively designs and customises their own learning program according to their specific talents, questions, concerns and dreams. There is ample scope for learners to explore many areas at the same time and develop their own trans-disciplinary curriculum.
We believe in learning by experimenting, learning by making mistakes, learning by reflecting, learning by unlearning, learning by collaborating and learning by seva (sacred service). We believe that our learning goes deep when we are in community together – alone I can go faster, together we can go farther.
This workshop will offer:
We will also share more details of how you can be part of Swaraj University’s upcoming new cohort. The workshop will include a 1-day learning journey around Udaipur where you will visit and meet several inspiring people and projects.

Like many places across India and around the world, Swaraj University is experimenting with rethinking our lifestyle and our relationship with ourselves, our work, our resources, and our communities. We are questioning, challenging and experimenting with our set notions of money. So, we welcome you to join our experiment and explore your relationship with money.
By participating in such workshops you are, in a non-monetary way , supporting and encouraging such learning spaces to thrive and stay alive. You are, in a beautiful way, taking forward the larger movement of reclaiming our learning.
However, it is important we all contribute and take care of the needs of the place and meet the actual expenses for hosting such a workshop.
The suggested contribution for this workshop is 9000/-. By contributing this amount (or more), you would also partly be helping those who find it hard to access these spaces due to financial constraints. Money should not be a barrier to your attending. Please ask for a partial scholarship if you need it.
