Internship Details

This position is for an internship program within the Car Audio SBU of the Automotive division. Products that are developed are OEM automotive amplifiers and other similar audio processing products. 

  • Products typically consist of a main microcontroller for configuration, communication, and control and a DSP processor for audio processing. 
  • The position will consist of working as part of a software development team for the development of amplifier products. 
  • Software development work will be mainly deeply embedded, written in C or C++, occasionally additional testing or development tools may need to be developed on a PC.
  • The underlying architecture of the microprocessor is based on AUTOSAR.

Job Responsibilities

The intern will be involved in the development of software following a defined software development process. The job involves code implementation, developing unit test plans, integration test plans, and verifying functionality. 

  • Develops embedded code for Amplifier application.
  • Will have hands-on on software development tools (debuggers, emulators, compilers, etc).
  • Able to use oscilloscope and logic analyzer for troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of embedded operating systems.
  • Tests code at the unit and system level to ensure that all requirements are met and the highest software quality is achieved.
  • Have good problem-solving skills.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Strong coding abilities in C/C++.
  • Good exposure to scripting languages such as Python, and Perl.
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solver capable of creating and reproducing software defects.
