About Tech-Aid 2023
The aim of TechAid: Innovations for Inclusion is to enhance accessibility, independence, and overall quality of life for people with disabilities. By developing innovative solutions across various verticals, the goal is to address specific challenges and barriers faced by differently-abled individuals in their daily lives. In this competition, IIT Bombay challenges participants to think creatively and develop groundbreaking solutions across a spectrum of verticals.
Structure of Tech-Aid 2023
- Abstract Submission: Participants have to submit a report based on the work done so far and also consistent with the format mentioned in the problem statement.
- Final Report Submission: Participants have to submit a final report in which their research, proposed solution, technical aspects, benefit to the users, etc. all should be mentioned as given in the Problem Statement.
- Final Presentation: The final shortlisted participants would be getting a chance to present and explain their solutions in front of judges during the main fest which will be held in IIT Bombay.
Timeline of Tech-Aid 2023
- Last Date of Registration: October 30, 2023.
- First Project Report Submission: October 30, 2023.
- Final Project Report Submission: November 2, 2023.
- Final Presentation & Video Submission: December 10, 2023.
- Presentation Stage & Exhibition: During Techfest 2022-23, in mid December.
How to Register?
Follow this steps for registration: Go to the website > Competitions > Tech Aid > Explore More -> Register > Fill all your details > You will be registered and now you must either Create a team/Join a team.
Who Can Participate?
Any individual with a valid ID card, Early stage startups, Upto 3 years old college passouts can participate in the competition.
Rules
- Every team has to register online on the official Techfest website for the competition.
- A Team ID will be allocated to the team on registration which shall be used for future references.
- The decision of the organizers or judges shall be treated as final and binding on all.
- No responsibility will be held by Techfest, IIT Bombay for any late, lost or misdirected entries.
- The idea presented by the teams should be original (not protected by means of patent/copyright/technical publication by anyone).
- Note that at any point of time the latest information will be that which is on the website; however, registered participants will be informed through mail about any changes.
- All modes of official communication will be through the Techfest e-mail, participants are advised to keep track of all folders in their e-mail accounts.

How to Make Your Own Team?
Follow this process: Go to the website > (hover on) Competitions > Competitions > Tech Aid > Explore > Register > Fill all your details > Team -> Create a team > Use the Registered Mail ID of other participants to add them to your team. They must be already registered before adding them to your team.
What is the Registration Email ID?
The Gmail ID which was used to Sign In is the Registered Mail ID. It is a unique identity of any participant. It will be used in adding team members in a team, joining a pre-existing team etc.
