Roles & Responsibilities
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Write, test, and release world-class, production-ready code
- Ensure that the data needs of the UI are fulfilled with efficient database queries
- Prevent one user from hogging too many resources
- Transparent and robust caching
- Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-enabled devices and browsers
- Developing reusable software/framework based products dealing with scalability, availability, reliability, testability
- Proven ability to deliver software that meets functional and non-functional requirements, quality metrics.
- Ability to learn new technologies and processes and quickly apply them to the overall development effort
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Extensive working experience with ReactJS, Redux, etc.
- Expertise in front-end tech stack, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, ES6, TypeScript, Babel, Webpack, NPM, Gulp, etc.
- Expertise in code testing best practices, including unit and integration testing (Mocha, Jasmine)
- Solid knowledge of code versioning tools, like Git, SVN, Github, Bitbucket
- Proficient with database technologies including SQL Server, MongoDB
- Ability to work with peers in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English for effective communication
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a daily 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of isomorphic React
- Familiarity with at least one cloud service (GCP or AWS)
- Understanding of the entire SDLC
- Architecture and designing capabilities
- Client interaction and problem-solving skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently
