Internship Description

Intel Foundry Services (IFS) is an independent foundry business established to meet our customers’ unique product needs. With the first Open System Foundry model in the world, our combined offerings of wafer fabrication, advanced process, and packaging technology, chipset, software, robust ecosystem, and assembly and test capabilities help our customers build their innovative silicon designs and deliver full end-to-end customizable products from Intel’s secure, resilient, and sustainable source of supply.

  • This job opportunity in IFS will be part of the Customer Solutions Engineering (CSE) group, responsible for the system foundry portions that bring the best of Intel technologies to IFS customers, differentiating and accelerating their solutions from architecture to post-silicon validation.
  • The candidate will be part of a Front-end RTL design team working on SoC/Subsystem/RTL design and design tool flows using internally developed and industry-standard tools to develop/integrate the IPs and SOC products for Foundry customers.
  • The candidate will apply various hardware and software level tools and techniques to meet power, performance and area goals. Also, interface with the Architecture, Design, Physical design and Pre-Silicon Validation teams as required.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Master of Science/Engineering/Tech degree in Electrical/ECE or equivalent engineering.
  • Strong fundamentals in VLSI and logic design.
  • Good understanding of Verilog/System Verilog.
  • Basic understanding of RTL design quality checks and tool flows.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work closely with various chip design disciplines like the verification team.
  • The candidate should have excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills and good written and verbal communication skills.

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model, allowing employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
