IIT Bombay invites online application from Indian citizens having requisite qualification(s) and experience for 3 positions of Application Engineer post, to be deployed to Application Software centre, on selection.
Eligibility
B. Tech. / B.E. in any discipline or M.Sc Computer Science or an MCA. The applicant should have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience after the qualifying degree, out of which
4 years should be at a post in Pay Level 6 or equivalent. or One year should be at a post in Pay Level 7 or equivalent or higher.
Relevant experience of technical support in SAP software, especially in the following areas, is required:
- Procurement to Pay Cycle, Purchases using multi-funding, Works Service entries
- Supplier Relationship Management(Technical issue resolution for internal staff and external
vendors etc.) - Finance and Controlling, Funds & Grants management, Asset capitalization
- Projects system (WBS creation along with other related data management, project reports etc.)
- Sales & Distribution Module (Sales order life cycle)
- Plant Maintenance Module and IIT Bombay’s support portal
- Solution Manager (Roles, mapping of users, ticket life cycle etc.)
- Document Management System (Document approval life cycle) Working in linux Operating System environment.
Desirables:
- Strong organizational skills including multi-tasking and working with teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good analytical ability, comprehension ability and a high level of competency in use of computer productivity software.
Job Profile
- Providing Technical support in SAP MM/SRM/FI modules.
- Ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues reported by the end-users.
- Interfacing with the SAP System Maintenance support entity for issue resolution.
- Participating in data entry/ preparation/ cleansing activities, as the need be.
- Carrying out end-user training.
- Documentation of Standard Operating Procedures for various processes implemented in the SAP system.

Salary
Base Salary: Rs. 47600 at Level EA 4 (Rs.47600 – Rs.151100). Apart from the base salary, consolidated salary payable to the selected candidate includes Inflation Compensation which is currently @ 42% of the base salary, along with Out-of-Campus Allowance @ 27% of the base salary.
