1. Smart India Hackathon 2024 by Ministry of Education, Govt of India [Software & Hardware Edition, Prizes of Rs. 4.95 L]: Submit by Sep 12
Smart India Hackathon is a nationwide initiative to provide students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem-solving.
The first four editions SIH2017, SIH2018, SIH2019, SIH2020, SIH2022 and SIH2023 proved to be extremely successful in promoting innovation out-of-the-box thinking in young minds, especially engineering students from across India.
- Eligibility: Regular Students of HEI’s pursuing “Graduate/Post-Graduate/Ph.D” will be able to showcase their talent and generate out-of-the-box open innovation ideas.

2. India UK Joint Call for Proposal for Telecommunication Research FY 2025: Apply by Sep 23
This international joint funding opportunity will support projects to further develop and strengthen the network and research collaboration between UK-based and India-based researchers in the area of Future telecoms/ Networks.
The projects are intended to build on existing UK-India Future Network partnerships. Projects should have two project leads, one based at a UK research organization and one at an Indian research organization eligible for UKRI and DST funding respectively. This is an open funding opportunity to fund projects in Telecommunications, building India-UK collaborations with multi-institutional participation.
- Eligibility: Applications will have a project lead (previously known as principal investigator) based at a UK research organisation eligible for UKRI funding and a project lead based at an Indian research organisation eligible for DST funding.
- Deadline: Deadline for receiving applications via TFS is 4.00pm UK time on 23rd September 2024. Applications should be submitted to e-PMS by Spm India time.
- Funding:
- Total Fund- £3,500,000 from EPSRC, with matched resources from DST India
- Minimum amount per application: £800,000 from EPSRC
- Maximum amount per application: £1,000,000 from EPSRC and upto 8 Cr from DST
3. Supreme Court of India’s Hackathon 2024 [Hackathon]: Register by Aug 31!
The primary goal of this Supreme Court of India’s Hackathon – 2024 is to explore innovative AI technologies that can be integrated into the day-to-day operations of the Supreme Court’s Registry. These technologies should not only comply with the Supreme Court Rules, 2013, but also bring about a significant positive impact on the Court’s efficiency, accuracy, and overall functionality.
To continue the tradition of brainstorming ideas for resolution of problems, challenges, refinement of workflow, and efficiency gains by the Registry, Hackathon 2023 was organized to explore solutions and ideas.
- Theme: Exploring solutions in Artificial Intelligence-based technology for improving and further streamlining the official functions performed in the Registry of the Supreme Court of India.
- Application: Entries must be submitted through the online entry form available on the (Supreme Court website ) and (MyGov).
- Eligibility:
- The Hackathon 2024 is open to Organizations (Firms, Company, Academic Institutions) and Startups in India with expertise in IT and AI.
- Solutions must be AI-based, unique, innovative, and compliant with Supreme Court Rules, 2013. They must address the problem statement provided and should not have been used elsewhere.
- Awards:
- Trophies to the winner and runner-up/s,
- Participation certificate for the shortlisted candidates
- Souvenir to the winner/s, runner up/s and the shortlisted candidates.
- Any statutory taxes, duties, or levies as may be applicable from time to time, arising out/ in respect of such prize, shall be payable by the Winner of the respective Prize.

4. DST WISE Scope Fellowship 2024 for Women Scientists & Technologists [Amount of Rs. 55k]: Apply by Aug 31
Societal challenges refer to problems and issues that affect societies on a large scale, often spanning multiple domains such as environment, technology, health, energy, waste, water, management, agriculture, economic, and more.
The Women In Science and Engineering (WISE)-Societal Challenges with Opportunities (SCOPE) Fellowship Program of the Department of Science & Technology (DST) aims to provide opportunity to Women Scientists and Technologists who have completed Ph.D. and want to utilize their S&T knowledge and expertise for the benefit of society.
- Eligibility:
- Age: The minimum age to apply is 27 years and maximum is 60 years as on the date of submission.
- Educational Qualification: Women Scientists who have completed Ph.D. in Basic or Applied Sciences or having equivalent degree like MD/MS/MDS are eligible for WISE-SCOPE.
- Submission: The proposals should be submitted at DST portal via this page.
- Financial Support: This Program provides the basic fellowship of the applicant @Rs.55000/- and HRA (as per norms) per month, a Research Grant of Rs. 2.0 Lakh per year, Field Demonstration etc. of Rs. 1.0 Lakh (for project tenure) and cost of small equipment (up to a maximum of Rs. 2.0 Lakh) along with Institutional overhead charges as per DST norms.

5. JOB POST: RBI Recruitment 2024 for Grade B Officer [96; Salary of Rs. 55k+ Other Allowances]: Apply by Aug 16
The Reserve Bank of India, chiefly known as RBI, is India’s central bank and regulatory body regulating the Indian banking system. It is owned by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. It is responsible for controlling, issuing, and maintaining the supply of the Indian rupee.
