About

Chi Square started as an initiative to promote data-driven decision-making among future leaders. Over the years, it has evolved into one of India’s prestigious analytics conclaves, known for its intellectually stimulating discussions and competitions. Chi Square brings together the brightest minds in analytics and strategy, including industry leaders, professionals and students for an immersive learning and networking experience.

The Data Analytics club at XLRI, DARVIX (Data Analytics, Research & Visualisation at XLRI) aims at fostering interest in data analytics among the students and acts as a liaison with industry experts to understand the latest trends in the use of data analytics & visualization skills across different industries.

“Chi Square 2025” is an Analytics Fest organized by DARVIX where participants will have the opportunity to showcase their analytical skills and compete for prizes. With a trending topic of responsible AI, the theme of this year’s conclave is “Adaptive Leadership: Evolving with AI”

Eligibility

  • Open to students from management & engineering colleges and working professionals from any firm
  • Teams can consist of 2-3 members.

Guidelines

  • All the stages of National Analytics Challenge: Student Track will be conducted online.
  • Both Stage I and II are elimination rounds.
  • Teams must comprise of 2-3 members only, all of whom must be enrolled in a B-School or Engineering College.
  • A mixed team from a B-School and Engineering College is not allowed.
  • B-School:
    • All the participants must be enrolled in a one-year or two-year full-time MBA/PGDM/BBA/similar course.
    • All participants must belong to the same institute. Teams may contain a mix of 1st and 2nd-year students. Inter-specialization teams are also allowed.
  • Engineering Colleges: 
    • All the participants must be enrolled in a four-year/integrated/dual degree full-time B.Tech/BE/M.Tech course.
    • All participants must belong to the same institute. Teams may contain a mix of students from any year of study. Inter-department teams are also allowed.
  • An institute can have any number of teams participating.
  • However, if a team member is found participating as a part of more than one team, all such teams shall be disqualified.
  • Judges’ decisions in all cases will be final and binding.
  • DARVIX, XLRI holds the rights to the conduct of the competition and reserves the authority to cancel any candidature or alter the procedure and prizes at any given time, if required.
