Summer Internship for UG Students at NIT Trichy

Internship Details

National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NITT) is inviting undergraduate students from various Colleges, Institutes and universities to pursue internships under the guidance of a faculty mentor of NITT. The undergraduate students will be able to interact with the NITT faculty mentor. The program is beneficial for students who are doing their undergraduate graduation.

Faculty Mentors

The list of faculty mentors from the various departments at NITT is available on the institution’s website. The prospective candidates may select a faculty mentor depending on their interests and the faculty mentor’s. At NITT, the faculty mentor will interact with the undergraduate students. The scope of training and the number of contact hours can be decided with the mutual consent of NITT and the undergraduate student, depending upon the nature of the work.

Selection Process

The prospective undergraduate student must interact directly with the NITT faculty mentor through email and obtain consent for the internship. After receiving the consent, the undergraduate student must complete the application and fill out this google form.

Duration

4 weeks (minimum), 8 weeks (maximum)

Period of Internship

May 1st, 2024 – July 31st, 2024
Within this 3-month internship period, the student can complete their internship for a minimum period of 4 weeks and a maximum period of 8 weeks (irrespective of the start date) based on the student’s convenience and the faculty mentor of the respective department.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be provided to the selected candidates based on the availability of the Boys and Girls Hostel, and it will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Certificate

A Certificate will be issued by the respective Department Faculty Mentor on the successful completion of the internship for the undergraduate students and submission of the report to the Associate Dean (R&C)-Industry and outreach through the faculty mentor of NITT.
