The Decision Science Track of American Express India Campus Superbowl will enable the students to apply decision science and predictive modeling skills, learn on the way from the data, try out new ideas to produce the most accurate prediction model for matches.

Rounds

Round 1: Submit Solution for First Evaluation Dataset – Decision Science Track

Participants are requested to submit their output in two CSV files based on the Round 1 data provided. Max 20 submissions are allowed per team. You can make multiple submissions and observe your scores on the leaderboard. Your submission with the best leaderboard score will be considered the final one.

Round 2: Submit Solution for Second Evaluation Dataset – Decision Science Track

Top teams from Round 1 based on Leaderboard scores which also qualify AMEX sanity checks, will be eligible for this round. Submit your output in only one CSV file based on the Round 2 data provided.

You can make only one submission in this round using the exact same model used in Round 1. The leaderboard will not be visible for this round.

Round 3: Virtual Presentation – Decision Science Track

Based on scores from Round 2 results, the top teams are eligible for this round. Please click on the Brief/Case button to download the submission template. Submit your code and deck to capture approach including (but not limited to): Feature Innovation, Intuitiveness, Algorithm/Modeling-Framework used etc. Shortlisted teams will be asked to present to a panel.

You can register individually or in teams of up to 3 members.
Cross-specialization, as well as cross-college teams, are allowed to participate.
There is no restriction on the number of teams from an institute.

Competition Structure

Round 1: Submit Solution for Evaluation Dataset

  • Submit your output in CSV format based on the leaderboard data provided.
  • You can make multiple submissions and observe your scores.
  • Your submission with the best leaderboard score will be considered the final one.
  • The submissions should follow the naming convention: 2024_DS_Track_File1_ & 2024_DS_Track_File2_.

Round 2: Submit Solution for Second Evaluation Dataset

  • Top teams from Round 1 based on Leaderboard scores will be eligible for this round
  • Submit your output in CSV format based on the Round 2 submission data provided.
  • You can make only one submission in this round using the same model in Round 1.
  • The leaderboard will not be visible for this round.

Round 3: Deck Submission & Virtual Presentation

  • The top teams from Round 2 will be eligible for this round.
  • Teams must submit a deck to capture the approach, including (but not limited to) the Sampling Technique, Feature Innovation, Intuitiveness, Selection, Incremental Trend, Algorithm/Modelling Framework used, etc.
  • The teams will be asked to present to a panel.

Rewards

  • Every member of the Winning team will get a Macbook Air, PPI & Certificate.
  • Every member of the First Runner-Up team will get an Apple iPhone, PPI & Certificate.
  • Every member of the Second Runner Up team will get Apple AirPods, PPI & Certificate.
  • The top 3 teams from each cohort (Engineering, MBA and Economics/Statistics schools) will receive PPIs.
  • The top 3 teams from each participating college (satisfying the minimum accuracy threshold) will be rewarded with AMEX merchandise.
