Applications are invited for the AI for Mineral Targeting-IndiaAI Hackathon on Mineral Discovery. Apply by May 12

About the IndiaAI Hackathon on Mineral Targeting

IndiaAI invites innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs to be part of the IndiaAI Hackathon on Mineral Targeting under the IndiaAI Application Development Initiative (IADI).

The initiative aims to enable the identification of new potential areas for exploration of critical minerals like REE, Ni-PGE, and copper, as well as other commodities like diamond, iron, manganese, and gold within a pre-defined 39,000 sq. km area in the states of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, India.

IndiaAI, an Independent Business Division (IBD) under the Digital India Corporation (DIC) of the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), serves as the implementation agency of the IndiaAI Mission. This mission aims to democratize the benefits of artificial intelligence across all strata of society, bolster India’s global leadership in AI, foster technological self-reliance, and ensure the ethical and responsible use of AI.

As part of this mission, the IndiaAI Application Development Initiative (IADI) is dedicated to promoting the development, deployment, and adoption of AI applications in critical sectors that have the potential to catalyze large-scale socio-economic transformation.

Participants will have the opportunity to design and implement sophisticated AI models that can significantly enhance the effectiveness of critical mineral exploration. This hackathon is not just a competition; it’s a platform for collaboration, learning, and innovation in one of the most critical areas of technology today.
