About Delphi Labs Cosmos Hackathon
Delphi Labs is bringing together top ecosystems and builders to deliver an explosive hackathon where teams will have the opportunity to shape the future across the Cosmos and beyond. Teams that submit a pitch by the deadline will be judged for numerous cash prizes and will be considered for a spot in the first cohort of the Delphi Labs Accelerator.
Our hackathon will have 2 phases:
Phase 1:
We’ll kick off our hackathon with a 1 week submission period from May 1 to May 8. Teams can either build their own idea or choose from a list of vetted ideas on select Cosmos ecosystems. At the end of this week, teams will submit a video along with any relevant supplementary materials such as a pitch deck, code repositories, or documents. After the closure of the May 8 submission deadline, we’ll move into a judging phase where we decide which hackathon teams will be finalists and included in Phase 2.
Phase 2:
Once the hackathon finalists have been identified, we’ll work closely with participating teams to provide feedback and mentorship over a period of two weeks, further refining and developing their concepts. After receiving feedback and mentorship, teams will have a 2-week period to refine and finalize their submission. These final submissions will go through our judging panels and winners will be selected for prizes across our select ecosystems and a spot in the Delphi Labs Accelerator.
What to Build?
- A pitch or prototype for a decentralized application built within one of the select Cosmos ecosystems.
- We’ve collaborated with our research and ecosystem partners to gather a list of ideas we consider to have huge potential.
What to Submit?
- Text description of application functionality and features.
- Video explaining and/or demoing your product vision.
- URL to code repository, if applicable.
- Additional judging materials (pitch deck, documentation, etc.).
Judging Criteria
- Realistic Plan
Is the Project backed with the knowledge, skill set, and commitment needed to help bring the project to life? How realistic is the roadmap? - Quality of Idea
How creative and original is the Project? Will it bring new avenues of growth and usage of the Cosmos ecosystem? - Potential Impact
Will this Project positively impact the Cosmos ecosystem? - Functionality
If a prototype is included within the submission, how well does it utilize existing resources and demonstrate quality software development practices?
