About NIT Warangal

National Institute of Technology Warangal, formerly Regional Engineering College was established in 1959. Over the years it has developed into a premier institute of higher learning and is ranked among India’s top technical education institutions. There are 13 Departments offering eight undergraduate and 32 post-graduate programmers besides doctoral programmers.

Objective

Teams of NITW students to deliberate, ideate and come up with proposals for piloting innovative solutions for promoting and using sustainable energy in the future.

  • Community around the NITW Campus
  • Primary/Secondary Schools around the NITW Campus

Team Size

  • 3-5 students of any branch of engineering.
  • One girl member is mandatory in each team.
  • Inter-disciplinary teams are encouraged.

Other Details

  • Hardware components used to implement the Idea will be reimbursed for the production of valid bills.
  • All the students of shortlisted teams will receive T-shirts and a Registration kit.

Registration Fee

Registration fee – Rs.500 per Team (Fully Reimbursable upon participation in the event)

Important Dates

  • From Oct 5 to Oct 16, 2023
  • 20th October, 2023-Short Listing and e-mail confirmation of the proposals.

Awards

  • 1st Prize: Rs. 15000
  • 2nd Prize: Rs. 10000
  • 3rd Prize: Rs. 5000 for Each Application Area
