About the Organizers
The Institute for Governance, Policies and Politics (IGPP) is dedicated to advancing impactful research and fostering policy dialogue. Partnering with the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Delhi, and AI Knowledge Consortium (AIKC), this event will bring together interdisciplinary perspectives on policy making.
About the Policy Hackathon
This one-of-a-kind event will bring together bright minds to explore and tackle pressing policy challenges in the digital economy. Participants will analyze the current policy landscape for digital platforms, develop creative solutions to address challenges faced by governments, industry leaders, and other stakeholders and focus on areas like strengthening platform economy, fostering domestic startups, and shaping sustainable policy frameworks.

Participants will brainstorm and pitch innovative policy solutions to address challenges in the platform economy, engaging directly with experts and stakeholders.
Eligibility
The hackathon is open to students currently studying or recently graduated in Delhi NCR, India, from the following programs:
- Final-year BTech students from IIT Delhi and other central universities in New Delhi.
- Three-year or five-year law programs (e.g., BA LLB).
- Master’s degree programs in law, public policy, management, economics, computer science, or related fields.

Registration Procedure
Participants need to:
- Express Interest by 28 January 2025 using the link mentioned at the end of this post.
- Submit Full Application Form by 31 January 2025 using the link mentioned at the end of this post.
Selections and pitch notifications will follow on 04 February 2025.
Fee Details
Participation is free of cost.
Awards
Winners of each problem statement will receive the prestigious AIKC Fellowship and a one-time grant of Rs. 40,000 to further develop their proposal into a comprehensive issue brief.
Additionally, winners will gain exclusive networking opportunities at future AIKC events.
