About LG

LG Corporation, formerly known as Lucky-Goldstar, is a South Korean multinational conglomerate founded by Koo In-hwoi and managed by successive generations of his family. It is the fourth-largest chaebol in South Korea. Its headquarters are in the LG Twin Towers building in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul. 

What do we evaluate?

• In addition to the top 3 winners of the Hackathon, select innovative entries will receive support on the webOS platform, gaining promotion opportunities and the potential to develop business relationships.
• Evaluation criteria include production readiness, user engagement, and TV focus, with publication of the application on the LG Content Store being mandatory. Fifty percent (50%) of the cash prize will be awarded upon the announcement of the winners, with the remaining fifty percent (50%) disbursed after successful completion of app QA by June 2025.
