About BITS Pilani
Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani – Hyderabad campus is one of the premier technical and science institutes of higher learning in India. It was established by Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (Rajasthan) as one of its latest campuses in the year 2008 with the first batch graduating in the year 2012. BITS, Pilani is one of India’s top technical and science universities established under Sec. 3 of the UGC act.
The campus is built with state-of-the-art infrastructure without affecting the scenic beauty of the area. TechXcelerate 2025 – BITS Pilani Hyderabad Edition is a premier technology and innovation event designed to bring together students, industry leaders, and technology enthusiasts. The event features technical workshops, a competitive hackathon, and an internship drive, providing participants with an opportunity to enhance their skills, showcase their problem-solving abilities, and explore career opportunities with top companies.

TechXcelerate is open to all undergraduate students, regardless of their academic discipline.

A. Technical Workshops:
Participants can choose one of the following specialized workshops, conducted by industry professionals:
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning – Learn fundamental AI/ML concepts, build predictive models, and apply machine learning techniques.
- Web Application Development (MERN Stack) – Develop scalable web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js.
- DevOps – Understand cloud deployment, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automation techniques.
- Internet of Things (IoT) – Explore connected devices, embedded systems, and IoT-driven applications.
Each workshop is structured to provide hands-on learning experiences to help participants gain practical knowledge.
B. Hackathon:
Date: 22nd March (8:00 PM) – 23rd March (6:00 PM)
Duration: 20 hours
Prize Pool: ₹5,00,000
- Participants will work in teams to develop solutions to real-world challenges.
- Teams will receive mentorship and feedback throughout the competition.
- The hackathon consists of four evaluation rounds, with eliminations in the third round.

Evaluation Rounds
- Round 1: Initial Concept Review (Idea validation)
- Round 2: Technical Feasibility Assessment
- Round 3: Elimination Round (Top teams shortlisted for finals)
- Round 4: Final Presentation & Demonstration
Finalists will showcase their solutions to a panel of judges for awards and recognition.
C. Internship Drive:
Internship interviews will be conducted within 10 working days post-event
- 100+ tech companies will be participating in the internship drive.
- Each participant will get 4 interviews for paid internships and 2 additional opportunities for unpaid roles if required.
- Selection will be based on technical knowledge, and interview rounds.
- Companies will offer stipends up to ₹1,20,000 per month, based on the candidate’s skills and performance.

Rules & Guidelines
A. General Rules
- Eligibility: Open to undergraduate students from all backgrounds, both technical
and non-technical. - Team Size: Minimum 2 members, maximum 8 members per team.
- Registration: Teams must complete their registration before the deadline. No
modifications will be allowed after final submission. - Original Work: All submissions must be original. Any form of plagiarism will lead to
immediate disqualification. - Technology Stack: Participants are free to use any programming language or
development framework. - Ethical Conduct: Professional behavior is expected throughout the event. Violations
may result in disqualification.
B. Workshop Guidelines
- Participants must be present at the venue on time for their chosen workshop.
- It is recommended to bring a laptop, charger, and any required software tools.
- Each workshop will provide hands-on training, so active participation is encouraged.
C. Hackathon Rules
- Teams must work on the assigned problem statements provided at the event.
- Coding must begin only after the official hackathon start time.
- Teams must submit a functioning prototype before the final submission deadline.
- Mentorship will be available throughout the event to guide participants.( Not with
the project development ) - The jury’s decision is final in all evaluation rounds.
D. Internship Drive Rules
- The internship drive is open for all participants who opt for the internship drive
pass. - Selection will be based on technical interviews.
- Candidates will be notified regarding interview schedules after the event.

Who can participate in TechXcelerate?
TechXcelerate is open to all undergraduate students, regardless of their academic

Can I participate individually?
No, participants must form teams with a minimum of 2 members. If you are solo,
techxcelearte team will help you to from your team with other participants on spot.
Can I attend multiple workshops?
No, participants can attend only one workshop.
What should I bring for the workshops?
A laptop, charger, and pre-installed software (if required) are recommended.
Will there be mentors available during the hackathon?
Yes, mentors will be present throughout the event to assist teams but no technical
assistance will be given to any team.
Can we use a pre-existing project?
No, all projects must be developed during the hackathon.
How will my project be evaluated?
Projects will be assessed on innovation, technical depth, feasibility, user experience,
and presentation.
Is every participant guaranteed an internship?
All participants will receive interview opportunities, but selection will be based on
performance and technical assessments.
Are all internships paid?
While most companies offer paid internships, some may provide unpaid opportunities.
