VJ Hackathon 2024, organized by the Computer Society of India (CSI) at VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology in collaboration with the department of Computer Science and Engineering VNRVJIET.

Rounds

  • Abstract Submission (online): Select a problem statement from the attached document and submit a PPT or PDF abstract by October 11, 2024. Ensure adherence to the provided format.
  • Prototype Building (on- campus): Shortlisted teams must pay INR 500 and arrive at their allocated venue. They should bring their own devices and tools. Accommodation and refreshments will be provided by VNRVJIET.

Rules & Regulations

  • Mention the details of your team clearly
  • Team size: 1 – 3 members and a mentor (Mentor is optional)
  • The abstract PPT or PDF MUST be submitted on or before the 11th of this October. Make sure to mention the problem statement number and name.
  • The shortlisted teams will be notified by 21st October
  • The components or tools required to build the solution for the respective problem statement must be brought by the members itself
  • Please follow the given format for the abstract PPT or PDF, or else your registration will be regarded as invalid
  • There is NO registration fee for the first round. The shortlisted teams (finalists) have to pay Rs. 500 to confirm their participation in the second round.
  • Accommodation will be provided to the shortlisted teams, throughout the event
  • Cross-year, cross specializations, and cross-college teams are allowed
  • The hackathon follows a 24-hour format
  • The timings for the hackathon are from 11 AM on the 28th of October to 11 AM on the 29th of October
  • Shortlisted teams are requested to arrange their own travel to VNRVJIET Hyderabad, as no travel allowances will be provided
  • Goodies will be provided to the shortlisted teams
  • Shortlisted teams will be provided with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and refreshments
  • The mentor can be a faculty from your respective colleges. He/She can guide you throughout the hackathon.
  • The presence of the mentor during the hackathon is optional
  • No mentors will be assigned from our side on the day of the hackathon

Prizes

  • Total Prize Pool: INR 1 Lakh
  • All participants will receive certificate of participation
