Profile Overview: Technical Program Manager Internship
As a Technical Program Manager Intern, you will design product architecture and develop solutions to complex technical needs, while identifying trends in product quality and performance, to deliver on the roadmap. You will drive continuous improvement in quality, profitability, supportability and delivery, and act as in-house advocate for millions of people worldwide who use Microsoft products. This opportunity will allow you to lead the development and implementation process for products and services that exceed customer expectations, work cross functionally with internal and external partners, and define or change existing features.

Responsibilities
- Reviews issues and contacts customers to understand issue. Ensures customers stay informed as to the status/solution of their issue. Utilizes troubleshooting tools (e.g., event logs, performance traces) to help resolve customer issues.
- Analyzes problems and develops solutions to meet customer needs using log analysis and other proprietary tools.
- Collaborates on cross-team and cross-product technical issues by working with resources from other groups as needed to resolve moderately complex customer issues.
- Provides feedback to improve products to more senior engineers or technical advisors.
- Attends case triage meetings and/or case discussions to collaborate and share ideas to resolve problems.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree .
- Must have at least one semester/term of school remaining following the completion of the internship
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of computer science fundamentals that affect code implementation and customer experience.
- Some experience building software or technology for customers beyond the classroom environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in feature design and feasibility.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with a strategic orientation.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, particularly in working with remote teams.
- Demonstrated leadership and exceptional cross-team skills.
- 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects .
- 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos) .
