Opportunity Details

As the Database Intern at Xactly Corporation, you’ll be responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of relational and non-relational databases, software and related products. You’ll also manage our all-flash storage infrastructure that supports these databases.

Job responsibilities include day-to-day management and support of multiple production, staging and development environments.
As a part of the Operations team, you’ll be maintaining the Xactly infrastructure, working closely with Support, Dev and QE teams to troubleshoot database, application and performance-related issues and work through resolution.

Qualifications and Required Skill Sets

Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, or related field.
Should have professional experience of 0-1 year as Oracle DBA with good academic records OR Fresh grads with excellent academic records with completion of professional course/certifications on Oracle DBA.
Should have good analytical and learning ability.
Very good written/verbal communication skills.
Flexible to take on-call to support production systems.
Able to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
Good team player and assist peers.

1-Year Learning Curve

Within one month, You’ll

Get familiar with our Database and Application architecture.
Get involved in our monthly release cycle for our application and infrastructure.

Within three months, You’ll

You’ll be familiar with our BAU support and get into the on-call rotation to support our production environments.
Get in-depth knowledge of different relational and non-relational databases and applications used in Xactly

Within six months, You’ll

Run database team projects and POCs run on Xactly on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
Work on continuous improvement efforts to optimize and automate our regular operations.

Within twelve months, You’ll

Drive database-related projects with cross-functional teams and involved in strategic planning, building and implementation of new initiatives that drive company growth.
