NIT Silchar is inviting applications for Satyendra Nath Bose Summer Internship Program 2025. The last date of application is April 15.
About the internship
This Summer Internship program attempts to bring together students from prominent institutions across the country. It will allow external and internal students to participate in research projects, undergo mentorship by faculties of NIT Silchar thereby leading to close conglomerates and collaborations between respective institutions.
Eligibility
- For Engineering Candidates: External and Internal Students of B.Tech pre-final year (3rd Year – after completion of 6th Semester – (Passout year must be in the year of 2026) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
- For MBA Candidates: External and Internal Students of Dept. of Management Studies are eligible to apply: (Passout year must be in the year of 2026)
- BBA (UG) pre-final year (2nd year- after completion of 4th Semester)
- BBA (Honours) (UG) pre-final year (3rd year – after completion of 6th Semester)
- MBA (PG) pre-final year (1st year – after completion of 2nd Semester) students are eligible to apply)
- For Science Candidates: External and Internal Students of Science Departments (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). (Passout year must be in the year of 2026)
- Students in the 1st year (after completion of 2nd semester) of a 2-year M.Sc. program.
- Students in the 4th year (after completion of 8th semester) of an Integrated M.Sc./BS-MS (5-year) program.
- Students in the 3rd year (after completion of 6th semester) of a 4-year B.S. program or an equivalent course.
- Students in the 2nd year (after completion of 4th semester) of a 3-year B.Sc. program.
Duration
Minimum duration of 6 weeks between June 01, 2025 to July 30, 2025.
Requirements
- The internship will be under the mentorship of a faculty from NIT Silchar.
- Applicants above CPI 7 or 70% for external students and CPI 6 and above for Internal students for all departments can apply.
- For external candidates, a bonafide cum recommendation letter is required from the parent institute. External candidates will have to select any one (online/offline) Internship mentioned in the application form.
- No accommodation will be provided to external students (outside NIT Silchar) for offline Summer Internship.
- No Scholarship/ Fellowship will be provided under this internship.
- The application form should be duly signed and forwarded by the Head of the Department (HOD) of that institution – attached in Annexure – I.
- Applicants are requested to contact the individual faculties of respective departments from NIT Silchar (www.nits.ac.in) and after getting consent through email from the respective faculty, only they can apply for Summer Internship.
- Letter of consent from host faculty (i.e. email consent) should be submitted along with the application form.
- Applicants are to submit a report (PDF) as well as presentation (PPT) to the individual host faculty after the end of internship.
