Responsibilities

  • For this internship program, they are seeking a talented Sound/Audio Engineer Intern to assist in producing high-quality, studio-grade audio for voice-based content.
  • This role requires expertise in audio enhancement, sound designing, mixing, mastering, and M&E (Music & Effects) balancing to ensure optimal output quality.
  • You will work with speech alignment, noise reduction, equalization, and post-production techniques to enhance the clarity and naturalness of voice recordings.
  • The ideal candidate should be familiar with multi-track editing, mixing, and mastering for voice and background elements.
  • Process and enhance audio recordings to match studio-quality standards.
  • Perform noise reduction, EQ, reverb control, and dynamic range adjustments.
  • Work with speech alignment tools to synchronize voice and background elements.
  • Apply mixing techniques to balance dialogue, background music, and effects (M&E).
  • Optimize audio mastering for different media formats (broadcast, OTT, etc.).
  • Collaborate with linguists and AI teams to refine speech outputs.

Experience

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Audio/Sound Engineering, Sound Design, Music Production, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of speech processing and voice quality enhancement.

Required Skill Sets

  • Skills required:
  • Proficiency in DAWs like Pro Tools, Adobe Premier Pro, Audition, Logic Pro, or Reaper.
  • Strong grasp of EQ, compression, de-noising, reverb control, and voice clarity enhancement.
  • Experience in M&E mixing and balancing voice with background elements.
  • Knowledge of speech synchronization and lip-sync alignment.
  • Familiarity with multi-track editing and layering techniques.
  • Good to have Skills:
  • Exposure to AI-assisted audio processing tools.
  • Experience with voice cloning or speech synthesis post-processing.
  • Understanding of multilingual audio processing and localization techniques.
  • Basic scripting knowledge in Python or MATLAB for audio automation.

Duration

  • The paid internship will be for 6 months starting April first week of 2025.
  • The working hours are from 9:00 to 18:00 (Monday to Friday) fulltime.

Good to have skills

  • Expertise in Pytorch.
  • Prior experience in the development of the Indian language NMT.
