Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for the vacant positions in Institute Management System (IMS) as mentioned below:

Eligibility

  • Eligibility: Completed Degree. Students in the last year of the degree course are eligible to apply.
  • Minimum Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering (regular)/Information Technology (regular)/MCA/ MSc (IT) with a minimum CPI 6.0(or 60% )
  • Age Limit: 28 years as on 30 May 2023.

Required Skills

  • Experience in full-stack web development using .NET Core and Angular. Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, and TypeScript.
  • In-depth knowledge of frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Angular (preferably Angular 2+).
  • Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with server setup and configuration, including web servers (e.g., IIS, Nginx).
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and Knowledge in using version controls such as GIT, Continuous Integration, and – Continuous Delivery.
  • Should have a working knowledge of Linux OS – Ubuntu 20 and above Apache 2.4 and above, PHP 7.4, above Laravel 7, and above MySQL 8.
  • Strong knowledge of testing and debugging. Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices, including Agile/Scrum.

Job Responsibilities

  • Full stack development in .Net/PHP, including front-end design, backend, databases and servers environment.
  • Requirement Gathering, SRS documentation, Software design development, unit testing and deployment of desktop and custom web applications.
  • Installation, Configuration and Maintenance of Linux and Windows-based servers. Ensuring Cross Platform compatibility and Application Security.
  • Performance tuning/Query Optimization of database systems. Manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
  • Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc. Regular monitoring of scheduled backup activity.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to help identify, triage and document issues.
  • Implement best practices, standards, and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies.
