Job Description
- Join the worldwide student competition team in India to support students globally.
- You will collaborate with development, marketing, and customer-facing teams at MathWorks worldwide to create and support student competitions.
- You will create scalable simulation challenges for students and support the technical aspects of your existing MathWorks Minidrone Competition.
- Through these efforts, you will shape how the students and educators perceive MathWorks and support the next generation of scientists and engineers to use MATLAB and Simulink.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the student challenge marketing manager to support events and promotion plans for MathWorks Run Competitions.
- Work collaboratively with marketing and customer-facing engineers to roll out and implement the competitions.
- Collaborate with our development team on the simulation and hardware aspects of these competitions.
- Develop models necessary to demonstrate proper usage and workflows; maintain and evolve the models.
- Develop technical ramp-ups, video tutorials, and documentation for the competitions.
- Create and evolve the rules for the competition challenges.
- Scale use by working with strategic partners to implement these challenges globally.
- Attend competition events worldwide when necessary.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master’s degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
- Demonstrated experience in/with Simulink.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience relevant to Robotics, Autonomous Systems, Simulation and Embedded Systems.
- MS or PhD in Engineering or related degree.
- Experience with competitions as a mentor or student.
- Demonstrated experience and eagerness to work in a highly collaborative, consensus-based team environment.
- Demonstrated experience working in teams across country boundaries.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
- Candidates must be willing to travel internationally for up to 25% of the time.
