The National Seminar on Navigating the IP Landscape: A Comprehensive Guide for Legal Professionals, organized by Dhirubhai Ambani University – School of Law in collaboration with the IP Promotion Outreach Foundation will provide an invaluable opportunity to engage with thought leaders and experts in intellectual property law, addressing critical aspects of IP for legal practitioners, academicians, and professionals.
The seminar aims to bring together industry professionals, legal experts, and a select group of students and academicians to foster meaningful discussions and networking opportunities. Speakers
Hon’ble Justice Subramonium Prasad, Judge of the Delhi High Court, will deliver the inaugural address. A 1990 LLB graduate from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University, he cleared the Advocate-on-Record exam in 1996 and began his independent practice.
Justice Prasad served as Standing Counsel for Tamil Nadu in the Supreme Court (2003–2006) and for the custodian under the Special Court (TORTS) Act, 1992, addressing the 1992 stock exchange scam.
With a legal career spanning 28 years, Justice Prasad has worked on high-profile cases and contributed to significant Supreme Court judgments in Constitutional Law, Tax, Corporate Law, Criminal Law, Election Law, Service Law, and Inter-State River Water Disputes.
Prof. (Dr.) Avinash Dadhich, Founding Director of the Dhirubhai Ambani School of Law at Dhirubhai Ambani University, is an expert in legal and regulatory fields, with a focus on AI law, data privacy, and competition law.
He has held prominent academic positions, including Director at Manipal Law School, Bengaluru, and Dean at IFIM Law School, Bengaluru.
In addition to academia, he has practised as an advocate in the Supreme Court of India and provided legal consultancy at Deloitte, EY, Gide Loyrette Nouel (Paris), White & Case (Brussels), and the Competition Commission of India.
Prof. Srividya Raghavan, a distinguished Intellectual Property Law professor from Texas A&M School of Law, will deliver the keynote address.
With expertise in international trade law and intellectual property, she has been published by Oxford University Press and co-edited books for Cambridge University Press. Prof. Raghavan’s insights have been featured in leading Indian media outlets, including The Hindu Business Line, The Hindu, DNA, LiveMint, and All India Radio.
Her address will offer valuable perspectives on the evolving dynamics of intellectual property law.
Sh. Prakalpa Sharma is an accomplished lawyer & IP Professional who has served with distinction in the role of a Quasi-Judicial Officer in the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
He has also provided legal management services in the Government-owned Defense & Space Industry at Bharat Electronics Limited and has substantial litigation experience as an Advocate at the High Court of Delhi.
