Job Description
- The internship project is to improve the scalability, efficiency, and productivity of Visual-AI (Generative AI, LLMs, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning) Systems applied to Edge/Cloud-computing.
- Focusing on developing novel neural algorithms to improve the Gfx/Media processing pipeline, efficient storage-and-retrieval techniques for multimodal data management, and applying automation techniques such as AutoML to optimise AI using AI.
- The intern will work with our Emerging Visual-AI research lab and will be responsible for researching, prototyping, and collaborating with partners to deliver innovative solutions.
- This requires a good understanding of state-of-the-art techniques in Generative AI/LLMs, neural rendering, deep expertise in optimization of algorithms, and benchmarking, along with a computer architecture.
- The candidate must have strong research discipline, hands-on prototyping skills, and closely work with collaborators to drive the research agenda.
- The candidate is expected to contribute to scientific literature and the research community at large and may participate in the development of Intellectual Property.
Qualifications
- Student pursuing Integrated Master/PhD in CS, ECE, EE, ME, or related fields.
- Skills: Experience in (ML/DL, AI frameworks) + SW (Python, C++) + Computer Vision/LLM/Generative AI (Gfx pipeline, media processing, foundational models, AutoML, Visual Data Management, E2E pipelines etc.) and optimization algorithms.
- Experience in Generative AI/LLMs, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Hands-on experience with ML toolkits/FW such as PyTorch etc.,
- Strong programming expertise in Python/C++ and/or experience in optimizing algorithms and/or experience in storage and retrieval of visual information.
- Experience with scientific inquiry – ability to develop hypotheses and carry out research independently.
